There's something about film that transcends digital. I very seldom use my film cameras anymore. Digital is now film you had to wait sometimes as long as a week before you would see what you photographed. On a trip or event there is no reshot.

Sulfur Mountain Road Upper Ojai
I was working at CIS Hollywood doing visual effects for film and TV. At the age of 70 I decided it was time to retire and I was looking for a place to learn to relax and enjoy life again. I lucked out to be able to rent a guesthouse in Upper Ojai on the ranch that was in foreclosure. So for nine months I traveled Sulfur Mountain Road taking photos in around Upper Ojai. I spent the weekdays there off the grid no TV no Internet just me and three horses that I could see from my living room window.

INVISlBES June 2006-June 2016
I've walked the streets of Los Angeles and Long Beach with a camera. One of the subjects I couldn't resist photographing where the homeless, to me they were the invisibles. Invisible in one of the richest counties in the United States. When I first started taking photos I would only see at most one or two. As the years progressed the homeless progress too, now I can see dozens on a walk. I have stopped photographing the homeless unless I engage with them.

Catching Action at the Races
I enjoyed photographing motorcycles races, catching the ballet of the racers at their best.

Blue Train Los Angeles
When I ride the train from Long Beach to Los Angeles people on the blue train are fascinating to observe and I found isolating a color adds for me a focus.
